As per the direction from Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals &Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) is observed today (31st Oct 2019) at 11 am at NIPER-GUWAHATI in both Mirza and GBP campuses to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel for compliance. Faculty members, students and staff are assembled to take pledge taking ceremony to mark the occasion.

11th WORLD PHARMACIST DAY

World Pharmacist Day observed at NIPER Guwahati on 25th September 2019.
World Pharmacist Day was celebrated by NIPER Guwahati with the theme entitled "Safe and Effective Medicines for All” on 25th September 2019 in the campus. Dr. Tamilvanan, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER-Guwahati discussed about safe and effective medicines for all. NIPER-G has conducted two competitions (1) extempore speech and (2) online Quiz competition. A total of 52 students have been participated, Finally, session was closed by prize distribution to winners.
11th FOUNDATION DAY

NIPER-Guwahati celebrated its 11th Foundation Day on 16th September 2019.
Dr. A. C. Kataki, Director Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati Assam and Dr. Asit K. Chakraborty, FRSC, FASc, FNA, Former Prof and Head Dept of Medicinal Chemistry, NIPER S.A.S. Nagar, Punjub graced the occasion as chief guest. In the welcome address, Dr. USN Murty, Director, NIPER-Guwahati, emphasized the challenges that NIPER-Guwahati faced during its journey of 11 years, the future vision and scientific exploration set forward for taking the Institute in the years ahead. He further emphasized on research works related to the Nation’s current health care needs and forecasted the adaptation of NIPER-Guwahati to fulfill the responsibility relegated onto it. Dr. A. C. Kataki, in her Foundation Day lecture, highlighted the NIPER-Guwahati’s presence in the North East region and its role to undertake community-based research projects for the benefits of the people living in this region. The function concluded with the prize distribution of best employee award and winner of NEST NIPER Logo competition followed by cultural programme by the local artists.
