1. Identification of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) using Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS, GC-MS/MS) techniques, both qualitative and quantitative analysis
2. Collection of VOC’s both in-situ and lab conditions using different sampling techniques
3. Isolation of essential oils for therapeutic use
4. Separation of Isomers present in flowers, leaves from the medicinal plants and its application towards medicinal chemistry
5. Extraction and identification of primary and secondary metabolites from plants using GCMS/LCMS techniques
6. Structural elucidation for organic molecules using Ultra-violet and Infra-red spectroscopy
7. Identification of residual solvents in Pharmaceutical products
8. Identification of sex pheromones from insects
9. Difference in volatile profile in healthy and damaged fruits / vegetables
10. Chemical Ecology: Chemical signals such as attractants, repellents and aggregation stimulants from organisms
