Hostels at NIPER Guwahati


General Informations

Every student at NIPER-Guwahati is given a separate room on double occupancy basis. Each room comes equipped with requisite amount of lighting and electrical ports, fan, chair and table and a cot. The rooms are NOT air conditioned. The toilets and bathrooms are on shared basis. Every hostel has its own history and unique facilities, but all of them have the basics i.e. a mess, RO, Wi-Fi, gym facilities, indoor sports (TT, carrom, chess etc), and pay & use laundry facilities.

Kaziranga Hostel

Significance: Kaziranga National Park is a national park in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam, India. The park, which hosts two-thirds of the world's Indian rhinoceroses, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Kaziranga is a First hostel in NIPER-Guwahati estd. in 2020. This is a perfectly equipped Girl’s hostel in the NIPER-Guwahati. The capacity of this hostel is 140 students. Following amenities are available for all residents: Wi-Fi, pay & use laundry facilities, ROs, Gym facilities, Parking etc. 24x7 lady security guard is available in the Hostel. Housekeeping staff attend daily and keep hostel clean and hygienic. This Hostel is attached with student’s Mess which is maintained by the student’s mess committee.

Brahmaputra Hostel

Significance: The Brahmaputra is a trans-boundary river which flows through Tibet , Northeastern India, and Bangladesh. It is known as Brahmaputra or Luit in Assamese, Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan, the Siang/Dihang River in Arunachali, and Jamuna River in Bengali. It is the 9thlargest river in the world by discharge, and the 15thlongest.

Brahmaputra is a Second hostel in NIPER-Guwahati estd. in 2023. This is a perfectly equipped Boy’s hostel in the NIPER-Guwahati. The capacity of this hostel is 140 students. Following amenities are available for all residents: Wi-Fi, pay & use laundry facilities, ROs, Gym facilities, Parking etc. 24x7 Male security guard is available in the Hostel. Housekeeping staff attend daily and keep hostel clean and hygienic. This Hostel is attached with student’s Mess which is maintained by the student’s mess committee.

Manas Hostel

Significance: The Manas River known in Bhutan as the Drangme Chhu, is a transboundary river in the Himalayan foothills between southern Bhutan, India, and China. The Manas river valley has two major forest reserves, namely Royal Manas National Park in Bhutan and the contiguous Manas Wildlife Sanctuary, encompassing a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve and a biosphere reserve, which constitutes a UNESCO World Heritage Site declared in December 1985.

Manas is a third hostel in NIPER-Guwahati estd. in 2024. This is another perfectly equipped hostel in the NIPER-Guwahati. The capacity of this hostel is 180 students. Following amenities are available for all residents: Wi-Fi, pay & use laundry facilities, ROs, Parking etc. 24x7 security guard is available in the Hostel. Housekeeping staff attend daily and keep hostel clean and hygienic. This Hostel is attached with student’s Mess which is maintained by the student’s mess committee.
