We are delighted to warmly welcome our students at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati. NIPER Guwahati is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of meeting the expectations of lifelong learning and is deeply committed to delivering internationally recognized pharmaceutical education programs. These programs are meticulously designed to produce highly qualified pharmaceutical professionals who can effectively navigate the challenges of international competition.

The institute aims to maintain a healthy and congenial academic environment to protect the new entrants from the menace of ragging. To deal with ragging incidents, anti-ragging committee and anti-ragging squads have been established. Details and contact numbers of anti-ragging committee and anti-ragging squads are provided. Affidavits are also obtained from the senior students and their parents, stating that anyone found indulging in ragging will be appropriately punished. The punishment may include expulsion from the campus, suspension from classes or fine along with a public apology. There is strict monitoring of senior students both inside and outside the campus and hostel authorities are also put in alert.

The arrangement for 'Introduction' between senior and junior students is officially organized at the department level on a date and time as the respective departments decide. Separate 'introduction' sessions in the departments, hostels or outside the institution are not permitted. Any welcome party or meeting must be held in the presence of either HOD, departmental faculty, or the warden.

Another mandatory requirement for the Institute is that each student must fill Anti-Ragging Undertaking on www.antiragging.in and submit acknowledgement to the Academics Section with the admission form.

New students can confidentially report ragging incidents to hostel wardens/members of the anti-ragging committee/members of the anti-ragging squads/HoD or any senior functionaries of the institute.
