NIPER-Guwahati celebrated its 10th Foundation Day on 16th September 2018, with a day long program at Hotel Kiranshree Grand, Airport Road, Mirzapur, Guwahati, Assam.
Dr. Gitanjali Batmanabane, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar, graced the occasion as chief guest.
In the welcome address, Dr. USN Murty, Director, NIPER-Guwahati, emphasized the challenges that NIPER-Guwahati faced during its journey of 10 years, the future vision and scientific exploration set forward for taking the Institute in the years ahead. He further emphasized on research works related to the Nation’s current health care needs and forecasted the adaptation of NIPER-Guwahati to fulfill the responsibility relegated onto it. Dr.Gitanjali Batmanabane, in her Foundation Day lecture, highlighted the NIPER-Guwahati’s presence in the North East region and its role to undertake community-based research projects for the benefits of the people living in this region. Dr VGM Naidu, Dean and Dr Utpal Mohan, Asst Prof were awarded Best Publication and Best External Cash Flow awards, respectively. The function concluded with prize distribution followed by cultural programme by the artists of Regional Outreach Bureau (Songs and Drama Division) Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India.

NIPER-Guwahati participated in the ‘Advantage Assam’- the Assam Global Investors' Summit held during 03-04 February 2018,which was the largest ever investment promotion and facilitation initiative by the Government of Assam. The Summit aims at highlighting the state’s geostrategic advantages offered to investors by Assam. The event showcased the manufacturing prowess and the opportunities offered by the state in terms of export-oriented manufacturing and services to growing economies viz. ASEAN and BBN countries.

Soft skill is grooming grooming yourself so that you can stand in competitive environment. The focus of the programme is to develop a wide variety of soft skills starting from communication, to working in differentenvironments, developing emotional sensitivity, learning creative and critical decision making, developing environments, developing emotionnal sensitivity, learning creative and critical decision making......
NIPER-Guwahati organized a Workshop on Biopharmaceutical and Pharmacokinetics considerations of early and late stage clinical development of Drugs from 22nd-24th December 2017. All the faculty, students and research scholors of NIPER-Guwahati participated in the 3-day workshop. The objective of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge and perspective of the participants with respect to various biopharmaceutical aspects of drugs including drug absorption, drug distribution, NCA analysis, comparatmental analysis, dissolution testing etc.
NIPER-Guwahati in association with Thermo Fischer Scientific organized a Workshop on Flow Cytometry and its Applications from 6th-7th November 2017. All the faculty, students and research scholors of NIPER-Guwahati participated in the 2-day workshop and gathered indepth knowledge of Flow Cytometry from the speakers of the workshop viz. Dr. Tribhuban Bind, Dr. Akhilesh Kumar and Debashish Mohanty. The workshop was sponsored by Thermo Fischer Scientific.
The observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week (30thOCTOBER - 4th NOVEMBER 2017) commenced at NIPER-Guwahati with the administration of pledge on 30th October, 2017. All the faculty members, staff and students along with the Director of the institute participated in the bi-lingual pledge ceremony.
“Sahay” is an initiative of the students of NIPER-Guwahati to serve the people who are in need. It’s the enthusiasm and a good ambition of the students to share a part of their benefits with the underprivileged in the society, which gave birth to Sahay. It was formed as a voluntary organization on 7th March 2014.
